Car Audio Trade, a trusted name in car audio retail, sought to reconnect with customers who favour direct marketing over e-marketing. The project’s focus was to create an engaging A4 catalogue showcasing their best-selling products and key offerings, reviving a more personal and tangible communication approach.
At the start of the design process, I worked to define the catalogue’s purpose, establishing foundational decisions on layout and design. I conducted a competitor analysis, evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of their catalogues in terms of layout, imagery, typography, and overall user experience.
Through discussions with the team, I uncovered key insights into why print media was favoured over digital marketing and identified the essential products and information customers sought. Additionally, I incorporated client preferences for colour schemes, imagery, and overall aesthetics to ensure the final design aligned perfectly with the brand’s ethos.
I successfully achieved the goal of reconnecting with customers who were not effectively engaging with our email marketing campaigns. By adopting a direct marketing approach, I re-established communication with an older customer base.
The Car Audio Trade team provided invaluable feedback, emphasising the catalogue’s impact on driving sales and its effectiveness in reaching our target audience.
